1985 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible

This low mileage, superbly maintained Rolls Royce Corniche was delivered new on the 5th March 1985, supplied by Lex Mead Maidenhead, Berkshire. The Rolls Royce left the factory in Ivory ICI with Dark Brown Hood and upholstery and has covered just 57000 miles from new. Our Corniche Convertible is supplied with all of its original handbooks including the service book that records the cars first service at 3717 miles in 1985 with Jack Barclay in London. The London Rolls Royce agents serviced this car again in 1986 at 4228 miles and at 9611 miles in 1987.

By 1988 the car was with Mann Egerton & Company Ltd in Nottingham, serviced at 11865 miles and then back in London with Jack Barclay at 14205 miles in March 1990 and later that year in September at 17044 miles. P and A Wood serviced the Corniche at 31720 in 1994 and the Rolls Royce had covered less than 15000 miles up to 2007 when Classic Automobiles in London serviced the car at 45746 and 47200 miles. In 2012 the Rolls Royce was purchased by the proprietor of a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Specialists with 51000 warranted miles recorded and up to 2019 maintenance costs add to over £6000. Expenditure includes a new stainless-steel exhaust system, tyres, general servicing, drive belts, various air-conditioning hoses and various new ignition items. Since 2012 the Rolls Royce has covered 6000 miles and in 2019 the car was driven to Monaco faultlessly on two occasions.

The Rolls Royce presents incredibly well with its largely original, deep brightly finished Ivory paintwork. The car is ideal for summer use, perfect for touring the South of France and having had recent trips to Monaco it can indeed be toured in Europe with absolute confidence. The upholstery is beautiful with original, gorgeous luxurious leather, fabulous wool carpets, working electric hood and the car offers a quiet, smooth and luxurious ride. On the road this Rolls Royce is wonderful with its quiet low mileage engine, hardly noticed, super smooth slick gear changes and with power steering and its advanced suspension set up, driving the car is effortless.
