FERRARI 308

4x4 208 GT4 2+2 (1976)

APPRECIATING CLASSIC,F1 OWNER

We are incredibly delighted to offer you one of the rarest Ferraris on the market today.
The Ferrari Dino 208 GT4 2+2
Presented in traditional red, with a beige and cream interior, this car is outstanding in its originality, and cannot be faulted. Even the original fitted radio/cassette with an electric retractable aerial remains!
The Ferrari Dino 208 GT4 is the smaller brother of the 308, and was revealed at the 1973 Paris Auto Salon. It was produced ONLY for the Italian market, where strict taxation rules subjected cars larger than a two-litre displacement to a 38% VAT ‘hike’.
With this in mind, the engine was down-sized to 1991 cubic centimetres, making it the smallest production V8 ever used in a Ferrari road car. The Dino 208 GT4 remained in production from 1975 to 1980, and with only 840 of them receiving Maranellos stamp of approval, it remains one of the rarest cars in the Ferrari stable.
Nikki Lauda himself was involved in the design of this first mid-engined Ferrari which proved the benchmark of all Ferraris since. The very special driving position was unique in as much as the driver can only see the road in front of him whilst driving!
This car is outstanding in every way. The first owner purchased the car in 1976 and owned it for 39 years. It was then purchased by the famous Alex Wurz, the Austrian Formula 1 driver and double winner of LeMans 24 hour Endurance race, and was registered at his home in Monte Carlo.

The car has a comprehensive service history with the benefit of a cam belt change 2 years ago, having only covered 200 kilometres since then.
We have the original manuals with the car, with documentation specifying the original owner and Alwx Wurz himself.

Of course it is MOT and tax exempt and has an incredibly low mileage of only 44,000 km’s.

Buy yourself a part of history, with the investment potential rarely seen in the market today.
